This phrase has followed me all my life. I’ve said this to so many people - uncountable. But only a few have I really kept that promise to. It’s fate, it’s destiny. And these people have become my best friends in life. Some are far far away but yet so close to heart. And the one person that I so much want to thank the most is Shanel.
We’ve exchanged millions of letters, cards, presents throughout these four years. Everytime I receive something from her, I always feel that I’ve just left Singapore. It’s such a happy feeling. I still remember those secondary school days, and the week that I was about to leave the country for UK, I think I’ve spent every single day with Shanel! Also not forgetting the night before I departed Jane, Alina, Shanel and I went to take lots of Neo-print photos! Haha. Of cause, not forgetting other lovely friends like Christine, Victoria, Janice, Cammy, Viknes, Jane, Emily… I could go on and on. They’ve all helped me through those tough times.
Just recently, Shanel sent me some photos of her Malaysia trip. She deserves a good rest from her Nurse training courses. Staying in the hospital for too long is no good for the skin! Hehe. And she’s so slim and tall as ever. OMG. I’m very jealous!
I’m posting these photos because they are just too awesome! I want to go diving one day! The underwater world is amazing.
Don’t forget our promise, to meet in Beijing for the 2008 Olympics! Anyone want to join us?

I'm just getting bored with my reading. You update very frequent these days, must be staying in front of pc too long like I do.
I know exactly how you feel. Because from 2002 to 2005 I live in one place per year. Every time I started from knowing nobody to knowing a bunch of good friends. But just when we become close, it's time to say goodbye and "keep in touch". Although internet and email had shorten our distance these, but it's still different to face-to-face. Mobile life, really!
That's why I always said I want to settle down one day, kind of getting tired from these years. But somehow I found myself got used to it, maybe will feel uncomfortable if I really settle down.
Anyway, good post and nice photos. I want to go diving with you some day:)

Don't worry dear, if you want to settle down, the future is waiting for you! When the time comes, I'm sure you'll find somewhere you'd love to stay at. For now, I have not found the place yet. Every country has their pros and cons. So sometimes, I don't really mind moving around. It's challenging! But along the way, I miss a lot of my friends.
Diving! Sure, let's go to Singapore sometime together! I want to show you that favourite country of mine and my meet my friends there! >.< Of cause, I would love to go to Japan sometime with you. As I know I would never get lost there with a fluent specker! hahaha.... ^^kissssssss

I still rmb how much we treasured the last wk before u left. I went to ur hse nearly everyday and we'll go out together. The few days b4 u left, i even went to stayover with u at the hotel! The emptiniess i felt when u walked into the departure hall..i'll nv forget tt. I cant imagine having to do it a 2nd time. Maybe it'll be better if both of us bid farewell IN the departure hall lol. BeiJing!! We're coming :D And the first ever time i went to ur hse, we had to do it secretly as ur parents were really strict then. And poof, i was sitting at the dining area n uncle came home! My heart almost popped out lol. And my first dinner at ur home. It consist of vegetable in ketchup (rmb we counted the packets of ketchup u need to go with ur fries? was it 4 crazy packets? lol) and preserved caixin with rice! I've nv eaten tt with rice BEFORE haha.
I MISS OUR RECESS TOILET TALKS, I MISS TAKIN A BUS TO GILLMAN HEIGHTS, I MISS OUR SWIMMING SESSIONS AT NUS WHICH STARTS WITH LAKSA YONG TAUFU AND ENDS WITH FRUIT TARTS FROM GILLMAN HEIGHT'S MINIMART AT THE LOUNGE ABOVE THE POOL, I MISS EATING OUR ALL-TIME FAVOURITE HOTDOG AT IKEA AFTER SKL, I MISS BEING IN THE SAME SKL, SAME CLASS, SAME VIGILANCE HOUSE, SAME CCA, SAME SECTION, SAME STREET 2 BUS STOPS AWAY, ARD THE SAME HEIGHT, SAME BDAY MONTH, SAME HOROSCOPE.

wow! I can't believe you have remembered every detail!!!! THAT IS AMAZING!!! I must say, you have amazing memory!!! And you are soooooo sweeeeetttt! haha... really my parents are so stricted anymore. Maybe I was too young then, and just assumed it! But we had a great time anyway cos we are the BESTEST of friends. I think saying goodbye to each other when we are both departing would be much better than one of us seeing someone else off. So don worry. We have gone through the hardest of all, and we are now getting older to travel alone! I'm sure we're going to do this more often in the future. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!
Yummy...i can still remember that ice-cream corn and hotdog sold outside IKEA! I think it's the BEST I have ever had! The hotdogs here are not comparable to that one! hahaa...
That last week in Singapore has been so meaningful and exciting! I've really had the best time then! I still remember going back home and to the hotel really late at night. My parents did not even say a thing about that!

do you still remember the times when u and I went swimming in The singapore uni, and I nearly drowned because of laughing too much (for no reason!!!!) OMG.....LoL, from then onwards, I don't think I have ever asked any of my friends to go swimming with me. Cos I'll just laugh!!! I just go alone......^^
