WARNING: I am not crazy.
Everyone knows about the
water cycle, eclipse cycle, solar cycle, carbon cycle, sleep cycle, business cycle, etc etc etc! Notice all these links are from Wikipedia? But when you type Knowledge Cycle, nothing actually comes out. So now, I'm going to tell you what is The Knowledge Cycle.
I have always went back to my hometown -
Wuhan, China for my summer vacations. When I'm there I would be staying with my Grandparents in
Huazhong University of Science and Technology (华中科大). It's a well-known university located next to the lovely 东湖 (The Northern Lake).
One day, I went to have lunch in one of the Uni Canteens. The food there are so much nicer than those in the UK colleges. Ok, let me get to the point. Since food is so cheap and plentiful in these canteens. Students and teachers cannot actually finish what they have bought. So these left-overs would be scrapped away into big containers. I asked my Grandfather do people waste so much food a today? He said, "it looks like it, but if we don't what would the pigs eat?" So that means these left-overs would be used to feed the pigs in the nearby farms. According to nearby Farmers, these left overs are considered as 高级食量 (High quality feeds). Thus, the pork sold would be a bit more expensive than normal pork.

So this would be related to my Economics knowledge of Supply and Demand. You might be thinking, "who would buy dearer pork?" Well, if there's a demand, there's going to be the supply for them. These dearer pork are usually sold in the University fresh meat markets. Because it is these people who demand for better, healthier food, so they are willing to pay the premium price. This is through personal experience as I always go food shopping with my grandmother in the early mornings.
Can everyone now see my point?
The knowledge cycle:Canteen leftovers -> high quality feeds for farm animals -> then sold in uni markets at a higher price -> people buy them -> adding points to their personal IQ
Sounds unbelievable? But if you really think about it, when someone says this pork is going to make you smarter, psychologically you would be feeling smarter after eating it, thus in the end, you would be smarter! Same example with milk.
Omega milk states that it helps to "stimulate your brain development". So there's a high demand for it and evidence shows that people really have increased IQ levels!
This is only one example of the knowledge cycle. I'm sure as society progresses, more people would come up with new findings.
Karl Marx came up with the bourgeoisie and proletariat theory, and everyone thought he was crazy at that time. But look at his contribution to economics and sociology today.
This is going to be the beginning of my journey...
NOTE: the animal does not have to be a PIG, it can be cows (moOo moOo), sheeps etc etc etc!
